What Is a Reasonable Accommodation?
A reasonable accommodation is any change to the work environment, or how a job is typically done, that helps an employee with a disability perform essential job functions.
Accommodations aren't about lowering standards — they're about removing barriers so an employee can meet the same standards as everyone else.
Common examples
Flexible scheduling, assistive technology, modified workstations, adjusted break schedules, and remote work arrangements are among the most common accommodations.
